I love living in _______ and enjoying all the city/region has to offer. One thing that would enrich the experience of living here is if it were easier to get around using public transport. 

There are many benefits to having better public transport. It will help to lessen congestion, help with the cost of living, get people more active in the community. Better public transport will also help address climate change with lower emissions from private cars. 

There are a few ways public transport in our city/area could be improved. (choose an option(s) that is applicable to your area).   

• Make it more affordable

• Make it more frequent

• Have it run on time 

• An app that makes it easy to use 

• More express services 

(Tell a story here about your frustration with this option(s). E.g. The options for transport around the region are very expensive, and infrequent. My family and friends all know it is far more convenient and much cheaper to use your private car than public transport, even with the cost of living being so high. I once wanted to take a bus from X location to X location and the only option was at X time and cost X amount. This would add up to X amount per week. This just isn’t realistic. It would be great to have options that I can use every day. OR E.g.2 If I take the regional bus/train on my way home from work/school it is very slow. The service stops at X number of stops and takes X amount of time. If I drive, it takes X amount of time, even in traffic. There needs to be a more express service to the main hubs to make taking the bus/train a viable option.)

I would also like to see more emphasis on green modes of transport such as (choose those applicable to you e.g. more electric buses/better use of rail for public transport/more bike lanes.) This is a way our city/region can lead in the transition to a climate-friendly future. 

As our government representative, it would be great if you could advocate for us and deliver on better transport options for our city/region. We are relying on you to make these changes for our city/region.
